California Clean Air Day Kickoff & Panel Discussion in Los Angeles

Join us for our California Clean Air Day event on September 18!

To kick off the second annual California Clean Air Day, we are hosting a panel to discuss the impact of air pollution on the health of all Californians.

Our speakers are California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara,

California Assemblymember Cristina Garcia (invited),

LA Metro Executive Officer, Environmental Compliance and Sustainability Cris. B. Liban ,

Rachelle Reyes Wenger, Director, Public Policy & Community Advocacy for Dignity Health and

CCA President & CEO Joseph K. Lyou, PhD.

The panel will be moderated by Leslie Lopez of ABC7 Eyewitness News.

According to the American Lung Association, nine out of the 10 “most polluted cities” in the country are located in California. Learn more about how unhealthy air quality impacts your health and the health of your loves ones.

Here is the good news: When it comes to air pollution, we can all do our part. Whether you’re an individual, business, government agency or nonprofit organization, there are things we all can do to improve air quality and protect public health.

California Clean Air Day is built on the idea that shared experiences unite people to action to improve our community health. By joining together for a unified day of action we can create new habits to clear the air for all members of California’s diverse communities.

This event is generously sponsored by LA Metro.
